Day and night

✚ I create the light and make the darkness (Isaiah 45:7; NLT).

1. Sunrise over waking mountains,
Tender, glowing, rose-pink sky;

2. God pours out his light and glory,
Stooping down, to hear each sigh.

3. Sunset over hills and valleys,
Shining, fading, dying day;

4. God spreads out his sacred darkness,
Stooping down, to hear us pray.

✚ The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known. They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard. Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world (Psalm 19:1-4; NLT).

Not far to fly

🧡

Whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit
(1 Corinthians 6:17; NIV).

Father God,

1. When I must die,
My soul will not have far to fly.

2. You live in me; I live in you –
There’s nothing I will need to do

3. But leave this body, and its pain,
To step into your arms again.

4. Then, Father, we will re-combine,
For I am yours, and you are mine.

5. Yes, Father, we will re-unite
Forever, in your glorious light.

Into your hands I commit my spirit
(Psalm 31:5; NIV).

God is within

My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?

Why are you so far from saving me,
so far from my cries of anguish?
(Psalm 22:1; NIV).

1. When you sigh
That God has left you,
Don’t lose faith:
He is within.

2. When you think
You’ve been forsaken,
Don’t give up:
He is within.

3. When you fear
You’ve been deserted,
Don’t lose heart:
He is within.

4. When you feel
You’ve been abandoned,
Don’t despair:
He is within.

Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: for thou art with me;
thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me
