You create me;
You wake me,
And await me.
You sustain me;
You train me,
And restrain me.
You protect me;
You check me,
And correct me.
You adore me;
And restore me.
1. You created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13; NIV).
He wakes me up every morning; he makes me alert so I can listen attentively (Isaiah 50:4; NET).
The Lord must wait for you to come to him so he can show you his love and compassion (Isaiah 30:18; NLT).
2. He sustains everything by the mighty power of his command (Hebrews 1:3; NLT).
He trains my hands for battle (Psalm 18:34; NLT).
We take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5; NIV).
3. The Lord protects those of childlike faith (Psalm 116:6; NLT).
He who restrains his lips is wise (Proverbs 10:19; NKJV).
Do not despise the Lord’s discipline, and do not resent his rebuke, because the Lord disciplines those he loves (Proverbs 3:11-12; NIV).
4. He loves us with unfailing love (Psalm 117:2; NLT).
Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me (Psalm 23:4; NLT).
You have allowed me to suffer much hardship, but you will restore me to life again (Psalm 71:20; NLT).
