Even when you cannot pray.

3. Listen,
Even when you cannot hear him.

4. Follow,
Even when you’ve lost your way.

Action prayer (dedicated to M.R.)

Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for.
Keep on seeking, and you will find.
Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you
(Luke 11:9; NLT).

Lift arms, palms upward

1. Lord,
I’m reaching up to you,
Asking help
From heaven above.

Arms in front, palms upward

2. Lord,
I’m reaching out to you,
Seeking peace of mind,
And love.

Cross arms on chest. Tap one hand on shoulder

3. Lord,
I’m reaching inward, too,
Knocking on your door
Within.

Open arms wide, as if on a cross

4. Lord,
At last, I’m finding you:
Over, in, through
Everything!

You must love the Lord your God with all your heart,
all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind
(Luke 10:27; NLT).

1. If we seek the Lord
With all our strength
Then we will find.

2. If we knock
Upon his door, it opens –
In our mind.

3. If we ask him,
He will heal our hearts
And make us whole.

4. Then we’ll love the Lord
In all we meet,
And in our soul.

Closer

1. Help me lean towards you, Lord,
Closer to your thoughts,
So I may glimpse the wisdom
Of your mind.

2. Help me grow towards you, Lord,
Closer to your heart,
So I may share your love
For humankind.

3. Help me move towards you, Lord,
Closer to your soul,
So I may leave
My sinful self behind.

4. Help me run towards you, Lord,
So we may reunite,
For you have promised:
Seek, and you will find.

Yet, dear Lord, to care and bond,
We must draw on heaven beyond.
