Cherish

The Lord God placed the man in the Garden of Eden
to tend and watch over it
(Genesis 2:15; NLT).

Lord,

1. Help us to cherish
Forest, sea, and spring.

2. Help us to nurture
Every living thing.

3. Help us to care for others,
And the earth.

4. Help us to love your Son,
And grasp his worth.

Oh, the depths of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God!
How unsearchable are his judgements and how fathomless his ways!
(Romans 11:33; NLT).

1. Fathomless ocean
Of darkness and light:
God’s timeless upwelling
Of justice and might.

2. Limitless blessings
Of mercy and peace:
His Spirit is calling us all
To the feast.

3. Boundless resources
Of wisdom and grace:
The Lord’s faithful promise –
We will see his face.

4. Measureless giving
Of body and blood:
Christ’s infinite sacrifice,
Poured out with love.
