May your Spirit fall

I will send the Holy Spirit, just as my Father promised

(Luke 24:49; NLT).

1. Lord,
May your Spirit fall on us
Like dew;
Or like a welcome breeze,
Or tiny spark.

2. Lord,
May your Spirit fall on us
Like rain;
Or like a shining cloud,
Or rainbow arc.

3. Lord,
May your Spirit fall on us
Like fire;
Or like a sudden storm,
Or cry of love.

4. Lord,
May your Spirit fall on us
Like light;
Or like a gentle whisper,
Or a dove.

1. The Holy Spirit fell on them (Acts 11:15; NLT).

I will be to Israel like a refreshing daw falling from heaven (Hosea 14:5; NLT).

2. Let my words fall like rain on tender grass (Deuteronomy 32:2; NLT).

A bright cloud overshadowed them (Matthew 17:5; NLT).

I have placed my rainbow in the clouds (Genesis 9:13; NLT).

3. Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:3-4; NLT).

Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting (Acts 2:2; NLT).

Then Jesus shouted, “Father, I entrust my spirit into your hands!” And with those words he breathed his last (Luke 23:46; NLT).

4. The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you (Luke 1:35; NLT).

Your life-giving light will fall like dew on your people (Isaiah 26:19; NLT).

After the fire there was the sound of a gentle whisper (1 Kings 19:12; NLT).

As Jesus came up out of the water, he saw the heavens splitting apart and the Holy Spirit descending on him like a dove (Mark 1:10; NLT).

There’s always a rainbow

Faith is confidence in what we hope for
and assurance about what we do not see
(Hebrews 11:1; NIV).

1. There’s always a rainbow,
Though we may not notice.

2. There’s always an angel
We do not perceive.

3. Christ, also, though hidden,
Is always beside us,

4. And though we can’t see him,
We can still believe.

1. When I send clouds over the earth, the rainbow will appear in the clouds (Genesis 9:14; NLT).

2. Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realising it! (Hebrews 13:2; NLT).

3. As they talked and discussed these things, Jesus himself suddenly came and began walking with them. But God kept them from recognising him (Luke 24:15; NLT).

I am with you always (Matthew 28:20; NLT).

4. Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe” (John 20:29; NIV).
