The prayers in this section of my website are intended for use by all who live with mental suffering. This one is for people enduring loneliness, which I, too, have often experienced, and surely will again.

I will comfort them and exchange their sorrow for rejoicing
(Jeremiah 31:13; NLT).

1. Lord,
When I am lonely,
And sadness fills my mind,
I hear the words
You said on earth:
Seek God,
And you will find.

2. Lord,
When I know failure,
And sorrow fills my heart,
I hear the words
You said on earth:
Turn back
For a fresh start.

3. Lord,
When I reach heaven,
And you receive my soul,
I’ll hear the words
You said on earth:
Your faith
Has made you whole.

1. How long must I struggle with anguish in my soul, with sorrow in my heart every day? (Psalm 13:2; NLT).

You have taken away my companions and loved ones. Darkness is my closest friend (Psalm 88:18; NLT).

Keep on seeking and you will find (Luke 11:9; NLT).

2. My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever (Psalm 73:26; NLT).

Turn back and live! (Ezekiel 18:32; NLT).

Go back to what you heard and believed at first; hold to it firmly. Repent and turn to me again (Revelation 3:3; NLT).

3. The dust returns to the ground it came from and the spirit returns to God who gave it (Ecclesiastes 12:7; NIV).

Your faith has made you well (Luke 8:48; NLT).
