The prayers in this section of my website are intended for use by all who live with mental suffering. This one is for people enduring loneliness, which I, too, have often experienced, and surely will again.
I will comfort them and exchange their sorrow for rejoicing
(Jeremiah 31:13; NLT).
1. Lord,
When I am lonely,
And sadness fills my mind,
I hear the words
You said on earth:
Seek God,
And you will find.
2. Lord,
When I know failure,
And sorrow fills my heart,
I hear the words
You said on earth:
Turn back
For a fresh start.
3. Lord,
When I reach heaven,
And you receive my soul,
I’ll hear the words
You said on earth:
Your faith
Has made you whole.
