The Holy One

Lord God,

You sent
Your only Son,
To save us from
The wrong we’ve done.

So, when we turn to you,
And run,
The battle of our lives
Is won,

For you are God,
The Holy One,
Who loves us,
And refuses none.

Lord,

May I never
Stop praying,

Nor utter
A final amen;

In your temple,

Until my life’s battle
Is done.

Lord,

May I never
Stop praying,

Nor utter
A final amen;

But pray to the end,
As your Son did,

Until my life’s battle
Is won.
