Breast cancer, mastectomy,, solitude, silence, stillness, darkness, contemplation, prayer,

Silence falls

Then silence falls
As we draw near

To see your face,
So bright, so dear,

And hear your voice,
So still, so small,

And grasp how much
You love us all.

Be silent before the Sovereign Lord (Zephaniah 1:7).

Come near to God and he will come near to you (James 4:8; NIV).

We all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image (2 Colossians 3:18; NIV).

God shines in glorious radiance (Psalm 50:2; NLT).

I love you, Lord (Psalm 18:1; NLT).

God speaks again and again, though people do not recognise it (Job 33:14; NLT).

After the fire [came] a still small voice (1 Kings 19:12; NKJV).

May you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is (Ephesians 3:18; NLT).

Prayer, suffering, life, courage, help, bear, illness, mental, physical,

O, my children

O, my children,
Though you weep,

I am always near.

O, my children,
Though you grieve,

I am always here.

O, my children,
Though you fail,

You are always dear.

O, my children,
Though you fall,

Remember me –
And have no fear.

You are close beside me (Psalm 23:4; NLT).

Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it (Genesis 28:16; NIV).

We know how much God loves us (1 John 4:16; NLT).

The Lord is for me, so I will have no fear (Psalm 118:6; NLT).

And he will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6; NIV).

“You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind” (Luke 10:27; NLT).

Wonderful Counsellor,
My great one,
I  praise you
With all my strength.

Almighty God,
My dear one,
I honour you
With all my mind.

Everlasting Father,
My perfect one,
I love you
With all my heart.

Prince of Peace,
My glorious one,
I worship you
With all my soul.
