One with you

Whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit (1 Corinthians 6:17; NIV).

There is one Lord […] who is over all and in all and living through all (Ephesians 4:5-6; NLT).

The dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it (Ecclesiastes 12:7; NIV).

Nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God (Romans 8:39; NLT).

*********************************

When I close my eyes
I’m one with you, Lord,

And when I open them,
I’m one with you.

When I go to sleep
I’m one with you, Lord,

And when I wake up
I am one with you.

When I’m walking
I am one with you, Lord,

And when I’m resting
I am one with you.

When I’m silent
I am one with you, Lord,

And when I pray aloud
I’m one with you;

So, as long as I’m alive
I’m one with you, Lord,

And when I die
I’ll still be one with you.

Live without blaming others

Live
Without blaming others
For your life.

Love
Without blaming others
For your pain.

Lose
Without blaming others
For your loss.

Die
Without blaming others
For your death.

Enjoy prosperity while you can, but when hard times strike, realise that both come from God. Remember that nothing is certain in this life (Ecclesiastes 7:14; NLT).

Love your enemies (Matthew 5:44; NIV).

We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him (Romans 8:28; NIV).

The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised (Job 1:21; NIV).

When your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow (James 1:3; NLT).

Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing” (Luke 23:34; NLT).

You create the light

Lord, you create the light,
And make the darkness.

You are the one who wounds,
And the one who heals.

You are the source of good,
And the source of trouble.

You are the one who gives,
And who takes away.

But, living and dying,
We always belong to you, Lord,

Though we can’t grasp
The mystery of your ways;

Nor can we understand
Your love and wisdom –

Yet, may we praise your name
Throughout all our days.

You’re beside us,
And within us, all the time, Lord,
And when we die
Our spirits merge with yours;

So we’re never far from you,
Or those we’ve lost, Lord,
But very near, forever,
Just like you.

In your hands

In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind (Job 12:10; NIV).

I am weary and worn out, O God (Proverbs 30:1; NLT).

Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me (Psalm 23:4; KJV).

Lord,
Whether I flourish,
Or suffer,
Or die,

It’s good
To know
I’m always
In your hands.

Choice

Unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God (John 3:3; NLT).

Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them (1 John 4:16; NIV).

Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise” (Luke 23:43; NIV).

Lord,
We can choose
Each day
To be reborn
With you;

To live in you,
To love you,
And rejoice
In you;

To suffer with you,
Die with you,
And dwell in paradise
With you.

Or, Lord,
We can choose
To spend each day
Without you.
