No room

May there be no room for scorn
Within my mind, dear One;
No trace of slight, or disregard,
But only thou, God’s Son.

May there be no room for hate
Within my heart, dear Christ;
No trace of spite, or bitterness,
But only sacrifice.

May there be no room for fear
Within my soul, dear Lord;
No trace of dread, or cowardice,
But only love outpoured.
