Prayer, prayer, healing, contemplation, oneness, love,

As I have loved you, so you must love one another (John 13:34; NLT).

God is love (1 John 4:16; NIV).

There is a spirit within people, the breath of the Almighty within them (Job 32:8; NLT).

Loving you
Means loving everyone
For you are love,
And you are in
All we meet.

Perfect love

He loves us with unfailing love (Psalm 117:2; NLT).

Love your neighbour as yourself (Mark 12:31; NLT).

Love ye therefore the stranger (Deuteronomy 10:19; KJV).

You, too, must show love to foreigners (Deuteronomy 10:19; NLT).

Love your enemies! (Matthew 5:44; NLT).

Please fill me
From top to toe
With your perfect love,
So I can love
Everyone I meet –
Without exception.

God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them (1 John 4:16; NLT).

I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one – as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. I have given them the glory you gave me, so they may be one as we are one (John 17:21-2; NLT).

There is […] one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all (Ephesians 4:4-6; NIV).

Lord God,
We pray for everyone
Throughout the world.

For all of us
Are part of one another,

And all of us
Are part of you, Lord God.

…he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else (Acts 17:25; NIV).

‘For in him we live and move and have our being’  (Acts 17:28; NIV).

The fool says in his heart, “There is no God” (Psalm 14:1; NIV).

We all need you,
But those of us who think
We don’t need you,
Need you most of all.

So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God (Romans 5:11; NLT).

“I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn’t confide in his slaves. Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me (John 15:15; NLT).

If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for all the world is mine and everything in it (Psalm 50:12; NLT).

“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the LORD. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine” (Isaiah 55:8; NLT).

Then they will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and not help you?’  And he will answer, ‘I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these, my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me’ ” (Matthew 25:44-45; NIV).

Lord God,
You are my closest friend
In every way –
Except that I can do nothing
In return for all your love.

Instead, please help me
To see,
And love,
And serve you
In everyone I meet.

Through Jesus’ name,

“The Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure that a man discovered hidden in a field. In his excitement, he hid it again and sold everything he owned to get enough money to buy the field” (Matthew 13:44; NLT).

“Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant on the lookout for choice pearls. When he discovered a pearl of great value, he sold everything he owned and bought it!” (Matthew 13:45-6; NLT).

“Keep on seeking, and you will find” (Matthew 7:7; NLT).

Be still before the LORD (Psalm 37:7; NIV).

Be silent before the Sovereign LORD (Zephaniah 1:7; NIV).

Father God,
You are our hidden treasure,
Our pearl without price.

Please help us
To seek you
Every day –

In stillness,
In silence,
And in everyone we meet.

Through Jesus’ name,

“Keep on seeking, and you will find” (Matthew 7:7; NLT).

But many were amazed when they saw him. His face was so disfigured he seemed hardly human, and from his appearance, one would scarcely know he was a man (Isaiah 52:14; NLT).

But Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens to live in, and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place even to lay his head” (Matthew 8:20; NLT).

Some said, “He’s demon-possessed and out of his mind. Why listen to a man like that?” (John 10:20; NLT).

Then Jesus explained his meaning: “I tell you the truth, corrupt tax collectors and prostitutes will get into the Kingdom of God before you do” (Matthew 21:31; NLT).

“And he will answer, ‘I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me’ ” (Matthew 25:45; NLT).

Lord Jesus,
Seeking you
Is quite a challenge –

What with your odd appearance,
And the colour o
f your skin,

Your unfamiliar clothes,
And foreign tongue,

Your unconventional lifestyle,
And your strange religious views –

Yet you are waiting to be found
In everyone we meet,
From all of whom
We have so much to learn.
