Questions…

However shall I find you
In Gethsemane, at night?

However shall I look at you,
Transfigured by God’s light?

However shall I fast with you
Amid the desert caves?

However shall I come to you
Across the stormy waves?

However shall I eat with you
Inside the upper room?

However shall I walk by you
As you approach your tomb?

However shall I stay with you
Despite all you must bear?

However shall I rise with you,
To meet you in the air?

Thank you, Lord,
For this new day:
I love you.

For the time to pray:
I love you.

And always find

Ask, seek, knock

Can a person do anything to help God? Can even a wise person be helpful to him? (Job 22:2; NLT).

If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for all the world is mine and everything in it (Psalm 50:7,12; NLT).

For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known (1 Corinthians 13:12; NIV).

Father,

There is nothing I can do
To impress you.

Neither do you need my help
In any way.

Yet still you love me,
And desire my love.

So I’ll keep on
Seeking you,

And  knocking at your door,
Until it opens.

Then I will see you,
Face to face, at last,

And know you fully,
Just as I am fully known.

Heaven is NOW!

Heaven is now,
For God the Father
Is around us,
And within.

Heaven is now,
For God the Son
Dwells in us,
Despite our sin.

Heaven is now,
For God the Spirit
Fills us – heart, and soul
And mind.

Heaven is now,
For we are one
With the God we seek,
And find.

When I feel lonely

Lord,
When I feel lonely
And depression fills my mind,

I hear the words
You said on earth:

Seek God,
And you will find.

Lord,
When I’ve offended you,
And sorrow fills my heart,

I hear the words
You said on earth:

Turn back
For a fresh start.

Lord,
When I reach paradise,
And you receive my soul,

I’ll hear the words
You said on earth:

Your faith
Has made you whole.

Seeking you

Lord,

I’d rather spend
My whole life

Without success,

Than search
For any other ‘god’ –
And find!
