Giving up

Father God,
I feel like giving up;

Turning my face to the wall,
And giving up.

Yet with your help, Lord,
I can scale this wall,

And stand up to a multitude
Of fears;

For with you
There is strength, Lord God,
And healing;

But without you
Only hopelessness,
And tears.

I am content

Lord,
I am content
With what you send.

Health and illness
Both flow from your hand;

Poverty and plenty
From above –

You know what I need,
For you are love.

Lord,
I am content
With what you give.

Joy and grief
Are lessons I must live;

Disaster, healing touch,
Smooth path, or rough –

You know what I need,
And that’s enough.

Lord,
I am content
With what you grant.

May I learn to face
What you command;

For you, Lord, suffer with me,
Like your Son,

And you know what I need –
Your will be done.

You love me.

And, to my delight,

You heal my soul.

I love you;
And, to my great joy,
You make me whole.

Through Jesus

We praise our God
Through you, his Son, our Saviour,

And humbly ask forgiveness
Through your name.

All healing is requested
Through your title;

All signs and wonders worked, Lord,
Through the same.

So may we spread the Gospel
Through your power;

In all we say, may we
Become like you,

Whilst always giving thanks
Through you to heaven,

And serving God
Through everything we do.

Lord,

You offer us forgiveness,
And healing,
Blessing, too —

To you.

Bought with your flesh
And blood —

If only we will seek your face,
And turn to you
With love.
