We are one

There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus (Galatians 3:28; NLT).

…whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit (1 Corinthians 6:17).

There’s neither us,
Nor them
For we are one.

There’s neither black,
Nor white
For we are one.

There’s neither he,
Nor she
For we are one.

And there’s neither me,
Nor you –
For we are one.

Pour out

Pour out

So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us (Ephesians 1:6; NLT).

And he said to them, “This is my blood, which confirms the covenant between God and his people. It is poured out as a sacrifice for many (Mark 14:24; NLT).

The Jewish believers who came with Peter were amazed that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles too (Acts 10:45; NLT).

Father God,
You make us,
And sustain our lives.

You pour yourself out
For us each day –
So how can we fail
To thank you?

Son of Man,
You came to live
And die for us.

You pour yourself out
For us each day –
So how can we fail
To follow you?

Holy Spirit,
You fill our hearts
And comfort us.

You pour yourself out
For us each day –
So how can we fail
To love you?

The Glory of God

 The Glory of God

Simeon took him [Jesus] in his arms and praised God, saying, “Sovereign Lord, as you have promised, you may now dismiss your servant in peace. For my eyes have seen your salvation, which you have prepared in the sight of all nations: a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel (Luke 2:28-32; NIV).

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life” (John 8:12; NIV).

The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being (Hebrews 1:3; NIV).

Jesus is
The light of the world,
The Son of God,
And the radiance
Of his glory.

He is the exact representation
Of God’s being,
A light for revelation
To the Gentiles,
And the glory of his people,
