To breathe is to pray

To breathe is to pray.
To pray is to live.

To live is to love.
To love is to give.

To give is to grow.
To grow is to serve.

To serve is to die.
To die is to merge.

Live in hope

Hello everyone, I’m just home from hospital. Still pretty sedated and absolutely exhausted, but very glad to be here. More comfortable without wound drain and cannula. My love to you all XXXXXX

Lord,
When we stop trying
To be something
We are not,
And start accepting
All of what we are,
Then we begin
To live in hope,
With you.

When we stop longing
To be something
We are not,
And start accepting
All of what we are,
Then we begin
To live in peace,
With you.

When we stop dying
To be something
We are not,
And start accepting
All of what we are,
Then we begin
To live in love,
With you.

Union

Lord,

May I live
In union with you,

As I always did
Before you formed me
In the womb,

And as I always will
Beyond my death.

When I awake,
May I return to you;

And, all day long,
May I return to you.

Pointless

Father,

It is pointless
To resent, or hate,
Our illness,

For anger
Will not make it
Go away.

Instead,
Help us to live
With how we are,

To manage,
And to learn
From it,

Making the best
We can
Of every day.

Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows (John 16:33; NLT).

Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity (Hebrews 6:1; NIV).

I was given a thorn in my flesh […] Three times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:7-9; NLT).

Lord, I know
I’m nothing,

But I don’t mind this
At all,

For as long
As you live through me,

I will rise up
When I fall.
