When we want to talk about ourselves

Lord,
When we want to talk about ourselves,
Remind us others may have problems, too,
So we can ask, and listen,
Just like you.

Lord,
When we feel sorry for ourselves,
Remind us others may be suffering, too,
So we can ask, and comfort them,
Like you.

Lord,
When we crave support just for ourselves,
Remind us others may need cheering too,
So we can ask, and strengthen them,
Like you.

Lord,
When we long for love to come our way,
Remind us others may feel lonely, too,
So we can ask, and love them,
Just like you.

When I feel lonely

Lord,
When I feel lonely
And depression fills my mind,

I hear the words
You said on earth:

Seek God,
And you will find.

Lord,
When I’ve offended you,
And sorrow fills my heart,

I hear the words
You said on earth:

Turn back
For a fresh start.

Lord,
When I reach paradise,
And you receive my soul,

I’ll hear the words
You said on earth:

Your faith
Has made you whole.

And to pray.

Help us face our hardships.

Our weary way.

Help us through our sorrows.

Whilst wandering among
