Faith

Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see (Hebrews 11:1; NLT).

Teach us to realise the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom (Psalm 90:12; NLT).

For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow (James 1:3; NLT).

Lord,
Having faith
Means knowing
You are with us,
And that we are always safe
In your hands,
No matter what suffering
Life brings
To test us.

Whatever we experience,
Please help us to grow
In wisdom,
And endurance.

Through Jesus’ name,
Amen.

God who sees me

God who sees me

“You are the God who sees me” (Genesis 16:13; NIV).

I love the LORD because he hears my voice (Psalm 116:1; NLT).

O LORD, you have examined my heart and know everything about me
(Psalm 139:1; NLT).

LORD, you are the God who saves me (Psalm 88:1; NIV).

“I am the LORD, who heals you” (Exodus 15:27; NIV).

For he loves us with unfailing love (Psalm 117:2; NLT).

He ransoms me and keeps me safe (Psalm 55:18; NLT).

Send out your light and your truth; let them guide me. Let them lead me to your holy mountain, to the place where you live
(Psalm 43:3; NLT).

God who sees me,
And who hears me,

God who knows me,
And who saves me,

God who heals me,
And who loves me –

Keep me safe,
And guide me home.

Save me!

Save me!

The disciples went and woke him up, shouting, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!” (Matthew 8:25; NLT).

Our lives are in his hands (Psalm 66:9; NLT).

The eternal God is your refuge, and his everlasting arms are under you
(Deuteronomy 33:27; NLT).

Then Jesus shouted, “Father, I entrust my spirit into your hands!” And with those words he breathed his last (Luke 23:46; NLT).

Lord, save me!
I’m going to drown!

Help me to cling to you
Day and night,
Until this storm is spent.

But even if I lose the strength
To cleave to you,
I know you will keep me
Safe in your arms
For evermore.

Father,
Into your hands
I commit my spirit.

Amen

God’s hand

God’s hand

Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his
(Psalm 100:3; NIV).

In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind
(Job 12:10; NIV).

The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms
(Deuteronomy 33:27; NIV).

But I trust in you, Lord; I say, “You are my God.” My times are in your hands
(Psalm 31:14-15; NIV).

Father,
Thank you for making me.

Whatever happens,
I am safely in your care.

Underneath me
Are your everlasting arms.

You are my God,
And my life in your hands.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Peace

Peace

For in him we live and move and have our being (Acts 17:28, NIV).

In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind
(Job 12:10; NIV).

The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms (Deuteronomy 33:27; NIV).

…he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep (Psalm 121:5; NIV).

Father,
Thank you for time alone
To pray in peace
And quietness,
Then to rest silently in you.

It’s good to have this space
To focus on you,
Though you are always with me,
For I live safely in your hands,
Whatever happens.

Lord,
I love you.
Thank you so much
For loving me.

In Jesus’ holy name,
Amen.

Life

Life

The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms
(Deuteronomy 33:27; NIV).

“I [Jesus] give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one” (John 10:28-30; NIV).

My Dear One,
I am always in your hands.

I live and die
Safe in your hands.

There is no better
Place to be.

Thank you for loving me,
And keeping me close to you –
Whatever happens.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
