Prayer, spiritual development, personal growth, faith, exploration, wholeness,

Our pearl beyond price

You’re our pearl
Beyond price;

Our truth
And our life;

Our Saviour,
Our Christ;

You suffice.

“My Lord and my God!” Thomas exclaimed (John 20:28; NLT).

The kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking out for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it! (Matthew 13:45-6; NIV).

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6; NLT).

I am the Lord, and there is no other Saviour (Isaiah 43:11; NLT).

Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has become a child of God (1 John 5:1; NLT).

My grace is sufficient for you (2 Corinthians 12:19; NIV).

prayer, healing, contemplation, oneness, love,

A blessing

The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you (Luke 1:35; KJV).

Guard me as you would guard your own eyes. Hide me in the shadow of your wings (Psalm 17:8; NLT).

The Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings (Malachi 4:2; NLT).

I will pour out my Spirit on your descendants, and my blessing on your children (Isaiah 44:3; NLT).

May the power of the Father
Overshadow us,
Guarding us for evermore,

May the power of the Saviour
Come upon us,
Healing us for evermore,

May the power of the Spirit
Fall upon us,
Blessing us for evermore,

A wise person thinks a lot about death (Ecclesiastes 7:4; NLT).

…you hold my right hand (Psalm 73:23; NLT).

…I will live in the house of the LORD forever (Psalm 23:6; NLT).

…the spirit returns to God who gave it (Ecclesiastes 12:7; NIV).

Clouds and thick darkness surround him (Psalm 97:2; NIV).

The eternal God is your refuge, and his everlasting arms are under you (Deuteronomy 33:27; NLT).

Come, death, my friend,
Take my left hand,
For God, who holds the right,
Won’t let it go.

Come, death, my shadow,
Take my arm,
And guide me to his house
For evermore.

Come, death, my shepherd,
Take my soul,
And lead me to the one
Who gave me life.

Come, death, my saviour,
Take me home,
Beyond the darkness,
To his everlasting arms.

Trials and sorrows

Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows (John 16:33; NLT).

Three things will last forever – faith, hope, and love – and the greatest of these is love (1 Corinthians 13:13; NLT).

“I am leaving you with a gift – peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give” (John 14:27; NLT).

For if you do these things, you will never stumble, and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ (2 Peter 1:10-11; NIV).

Please help us
In this world of trials and sorrows.

Heal our hatred and enmity,
Our fear and violence.

Fill us with faith and hope,
With peace and love.

Then bring us, at last,
To your eternal kingdom.

In Jesus’ name,

The rock

He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand (Psalm 40:2; NLT).

“The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my saviour” (2 Samuel 22:2; NLT).

Thank you
For loving me,
Saving me,
And setting my feet securely
On the rock
Of your presence.

I can never
Repay you –
Only love you in return,
With all my heart.

Through Jesus’ name,

“Yes, a person is a fool to store up earthly wealth but not have a rich relationship with God” (Luke 12:21; NLT).

He himself gives life and breath to everything (Acts 17:25; NLT).

They will receive the LORD’S blessing and have a right relationship with God their saviour (Psalm 24:5; NLT).

Is even more important
Than water, food,
Medicine, shelter,
Family and friends –
For without it
We have no relationship
With you,
The giver and saviour
Of all life.

Their tongues sting like a snake (Psalm 140:3; NLT).

Like lions they open their jaws against me, roaring and tearing into their prey (Psalm 22:13; NLT).

The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my saviour; my God is my rock in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety (Psalm 18:2; NLT).

It is like a person building a house who digs deep and lays the foundation on solid rock. When the floodwaters rise and break against that house, it stands firm because it is well built (Luke 6:48; NLT).

Please help me to recognise
Toxic people –

The selfish ones
Who drain me,
Giving nothing in return;

The angry ones
Who make me anxious
And afraid.

Help me to stand firm with you,
So I can protect my boundaries,
And stay away from toxic relationships.

In Jesus’ name,
