Just another word

Prayer is just another word
For truth;

Life is just another word
For blood.

Weak is just another word
For strong;

And death is just another word
For love.

Lord Jesus,

Give me faith
As strong as yours;

For even when you felt
Utterly forsaken by our Father,

You still trusted him
Completely,

Committing your soul
Into his hands

At the very moment
Of your death.

Our relationship with you

You will find joy in your relationship to the Lord (Isaiah 58:14; NET).

God is light (1 John 1:5; NIV).

Lord,

As our relationship with you
Grows stronger,

You intensify
Your light,

Reveal more
Of your truth,

Flood us
With your peace,

And fill us to overflowing
With your love.

Light

Remain in me, and I will remain in you (John 15:4; NLT).

God is light (1 John 1:5; NIV).

Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength (Isaiah 40:31; NKJV).

I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! (Habakkuk 3:18; NLT).

Lord,
During meditation,
The longer I stay
In your light –

Resting,
Playing,
Dancing,
Or praying –

The stronger
And more joyful
I become.

Fatigue

Have compassion on me, Lord, for I am weak (Psalm 6:2; NLT).

Patient endurance is what you need now (Hebrews 10:36; NLT).

This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent (John 6:29; NLT).

When I am weak, then I am strong (2 Corinthians 12:10; NLT).

Lord,
Living with fatigue
Is very hard.

Please help me
To endure it patiently,

By trusting in
The one you sent,

And resting in your arms
Each day,

For with you, when I’m weak,
Then I am strong.

It doesn’t matter

The eternal God is your refuge (Deuteronomy 33:27; NLT).

The Lord [is] strong and mighty (Psalm 24:8; NLT).

Your heavenly Father is perfect (Matthew 5:48; NIV).

Lord,
It doesn’t matter
That I’m old,
For you’re eternal.

It doesn’t matter
That I’m weak,
For you are strong.

It doesn’t matter
That I’m flawed,
For you are perfect.

It doesn’t matter
That I’m nothing –
We are one.
