Always with me

Always with me –
You’re the light
That guides my feet.

Always with me –
You’re in everyone
I meet

Always with me –
You’re the guardian
Of my soul.

Always with me –
You’re the love
That makes me whole.

Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path (Psalm 119:105; NLT).

Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me (Matthew 25:40; NIV).

He took notice of his lowly servant girl, and from now on all generations will call me blessed (Luke 1:48; NLT).

We know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love (Romans 5:5; NLT).

Abba, Father

Abba, Father,
I love you;
And, to my amazement,
You love me.

Abba, Father,
I love you;
And, to my delight,
You set me free.

Abba, Father,
I love you;
And, to my relief,
You heal my soul.

Abba, Father,
I love you;
And, to my great joy,
You make me whole.

Because we are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, “Abba, Father” (Galatians 4:6; NLT).

He loves us with unfailing love (Psalm 117:2; NLT).

I have paid the price to set you free (Isaiah 44:22; NLT).

He restores my soul (Psalm 23:3; NKJV).

He was beaten so we could be whole (Isaiah 53:5; NLT).

We are one

I love you, Lord (Psalm 18:1; NLT).

He loves us with unfailing love (Psalm 117:2; NLT).

There is one Lord…who is over all and in all and living through all (Ephesians 4:5-6; NLT).

God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them (1 John 4:16; NLT).

Whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit (1 Corinthians 6:17; NIV).

I love you,
Father God,
And you love me.

Though in fact
There is no separate
I, or You

There’s only wholeness,
And love,

For we are one.

The purpose of life

When completeness comes, what is in part disappears (1 Corinthians 13:10; NLT).

O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me (Psalm 139:1:NLT).).

Speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ (Ephesians 4:15; NLT).

The purpose of my life
Is growing towards wholeness.

This means knowing myself
As well as you know me;

Speaking the truth in love
To everyone;

Living with pain and loss
The best I can;

And being prepared for death,
When my time comes.

A question

“I will give you back your health and heal your wounds,” says the LORD (Jeremiah 30:17; NLT).

He restores my soul (Psalm 2:3; NKJV).

You restore my health and allow me to live! (Isaiah 38:16; NLT).

Today, in contemplation,
I experienced wholeness
In body, mind, heart, and soul –
A glimpse of perfect health.

So, if I could live
In unity with you,
Would I experience
That wholeness all the time?
