Our narrow way

God, our Father,
Help us when we suffer.
Help us to accept
Our narrow way.

Help us still to serve
As we are able,
And always, Lord, to thank you,
And to pray.

Christ, our Saviour,
Help us face our hardships.
Help us to accept
Our weary way.

Help us still to serve
As we are able,
And always, Lord, to worship you,
And pray.

Mother Mary,
Help us through our sorrows.
Help us to accept
Our stony way.

Help us still to serve
As we are able,
And always to rejoice in you,
And pray.

Holy Spirit,
Help us in our weakness.
Help us to accept
Our lonely way.

Help us still to serve
As we are able,
And always, Lord, to cling to you,
And pray.

Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows (John 16:33; NLT).

Small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it (Matthew 7:14; NIV).

Come to me all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28; NLT).

You must worship the Lord your God and serve only him (Luke 4:8; NLT).

Simeon blessed them, and he said to Mary, the baby’s mother […] “A sword will pierce your very soul” (Luke 2:34-5; NLT).

The Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness (Romans 8:26; NLT).

Cling to him (Deuteronomy 13:4; NLT).

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18; NIV).

We humbly ask

We humbly ask forgiveness;
We ask for healing, too.

We ask for faith, and hope,
And strength, besides;

So that we may praise you,
Worship and adore you,

And help to spread your love, Lord,
Far and wide.

Forgive us our sins (Luke 11:4; NLT).

Heal me, O Lord (Psalm 6:2; NLT).

The […] Spirit gives great faith (1 Corinthians 12:9; NLT).

God [is] the source of all hope (Romans 15:13; NLT).

Give your strength to your servant (Psalm 86:16; NLT).

I will praise the Lord at all times (Psalm 34:1; NLT).

Worship the Lord (Psalm 96: 9; NLT).

We adore you (1 Chronicles 29:11; NLT).

Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them (Romans 12.9; NLT).

Starting again

Be silent before the Sovereign Lord (Zephaniah 1:7; NIV).

Worship the Lord your God (Luke 4:8; NIV).

Keep on seeking, and you will find (Matthew 7:7; NLT).

All night long I search for you; in the morning I earnestly seek for God (Isaiah 26:9; NLT).

I start again,
With every breath,

To concentrate
My heart and mind on you;

Not just in silent prayer
And times of worship,

But all day long,
And all night, Father, too.

Worship in the dark

Seek God
In your wilderness;

Bless him
In your fear.

Thank him
In your suffering;

Praise him,
He is near.

Find God
In your desert;

Love him
In your heart.

Serve him
In your ruins;

In the dark.

Keep on seeking and you will find (Luke 11:9; NLT).

Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness (Matthew 4:1; NLT).

Give thanks in all circumstances (1 Thessalonians 5:18; NIV).

Surely the Lord is in this place, and I wasn’t even aware of it! (Genesis 28:16; NLT).

You must love the Lord your God with all your heart (Luke 10:27; NLT).

I am like an eagle owl, like little owl among the ruins (Psalm 102:6; CSB).

Clouds and thick darkness surround him (Psalm 97:2; NIV).

Who am I?

Who am I, that I should try to answer God or even reason with him? (Job 9:14; NLT).

“Who are you, lord?” Saul asked (Acts 9:5; NLT).

Who am I
To worship you?

Who am I,
To praise?

Who am I
To love you, Lord?

Who am I,
To pray?

Who are you
To seek me out?

Who are you,
To find?

For I am nothing –
Dust and ash,

Yet you’re
My dearest Friend.

Reach out to God

There is […] one God and Father, who is over all and in all and living through all (Ephesians 4:5-6; NLT).

In him we live and move and have our being (Acts 17:28, NIV).

All who live in love live in God, and God lives in them (1 John 4:16; NLT).

You are the temple of the living God (2 Corinthians 6:16; NLT).

Your joy will be complete (John 16:24; NLT).

Reach out to God
In everything around you;

Respond to him
In everyone you meet;

Reach in to God,
Whose temple is your spirit;

Worship him there –
Your joy will be complete.

Beyond all words

Beyond all words,
And wisdom;

Beyond all time,
And space;

Beyond all expectation,
And imagination:

The Lord
Our God
Is God.

All glory, majesty, power, and authority are his before all time, and in the present, and beyond all time! (Jude 1:25; NLT).

God is Spirit (John 4:24; NLT).

“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine” (Isaiah 55:8; NLT).

How great is God – beyond our understanding! (Job 36:26; NIV).

You did awesome deeds beyond out highest expectations (Isaiah 64:3; NLT).

The Lord your God is God (Deuteronomy 7:9; NIV).
