Lord,
You send us many trials
And sorrows –
Many opportunities
To grow.
This means putting all our faith
In you, Lord;
This means trusting you,
And letting go.
When we kick against your will
We suffer –
Anger only adds
To what we face;
But, when we accept your will
As Christ did,
We rejoice –
Sufficient is your grace!
