The eternal God is your refuge,
and his everlasting arms are under you
(Deuteronomy 33:27; NLT).
1. Crossing the desert,
We walk side by side –
Lord, you protect me,
You comfort, and guide.
2. Crossing the mountains,
Deep valleys below –
You climb at my pace, Lord,
Though I am so slow.
3. Crossing the lake,
You reach out for my hand –
I’m sinking, Lord, terrified,
Far from dry land.
4. Crossing the sea,
You take hold of my arm –
No matter what happens,
I’m safe from all harm.
Into your hands I commit my spirit
(Psalm 31:5; NIV).

There is no greater comfort than this, that He will never leave or forsake us – we are safe in His Love.
Thank you for these comforting thoughts sister, may you feel His everlasting arms around you today.
Thank you, Alan. You too XXXXX
Our greatest comfort is that God is with us. No matter the terrain, He will lead us to heaven. Yesterday, someone shared one of those, “I am the captain of my own fate” quotes. I immediately said to myself, “Oh no I am not!”
You’re so right. Believe I got that we are the captain of our own fate is a total delusion. It also guarantees a massive re-evaluation, perhaps even a breakdown, when the first big thing happens to us that we have no control over whatsoever (eg: serious illness, bereavement, infertility, abuse, accidents etc etc). XXXX
Yes. I meant statements like these amount to self worship—which is something we are not designed to do. I understood what you meant, Ruth. Thank you for the interaction. You always respond to my comments. I appreciate your blog ministry SO much! Blessings.
Thank you so much, David. Today I’ve been writing my blog for Easter Day – and I’ve done the references with you at the forefront of my mind, as I know you value them. My fear is that you are the only person who values them, but that’s another story! XXXXX
You are most welcome, sister Ruth. I look forward to reading your Easter week thoughts.
I have a theory as well. Several of the heavenly angels never miss one of your posts. With the scripture references printed they don’t even need to look them up. 😇
Blessings always.
That was a very intriguing comment! How do you know about these angels? xxxx
I don’t know much about angels at all. Though I believe I’ve encountered at least one before. My thought was a sincere compliment that I believe your blog is good (and worshipful enough) to be noticed in heaven.
Such kind words, but I can’t claim any credit. I’m only the writer xxxx
Sorry I’ve garbled my first sentence: Believing that we are… XXXX
