Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life” (John 8:12; NLT).
Though my prayers
Are lost in darkness,
You are there to light the way.
Though my thanks
Are said in darkness,
You, Lord, listen every day.
Though my joy
Is locked in darkness,
You will come to set me free.
Though my life
Is spent in darkness,
You will not abandon me.
God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you”
(Hebrews 13:5; NLT).
