One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show
that they should always pray and never give up
(Luke 18:1; NLT).
1. Whatever God gives,
And however you are,
Pray at once,
And pray honestly –
Just as Christ bid.
2. Whatever God takes
And however you feel,
Pray at once,
And pray honestly –
Just as Christ did.
If it is possible, let this cup of suffering
be taken away from me. Yet I want your will to be done,
not mine (Matthew 26:39; NLT).
Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge
(Psalm 62:8; NLT).
