Your will

The LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul (Genesis 2:7; KJV).

Lord, my body is yours alone. You made it, and lent it to me for this lifetime. You hurt and heal it, according to what I need to learn. One day, you will take my body away: do with it as you will.

Lord, my mind is yours alone. You made it, and lent it to me for this lifetime. You continue to form it through the experiences you send. One day, you will take my mind away: do with it as you will.

Lord, my heart is yours alone. You made it, and lent it to me for this lifetime. You lead it, teach it, and help it to grow, whilst I do my best to learn. One day, you will take my heart away: do with it as you will.

Lord, my soul is yours alone. You breathed it into my body, lending it to me for this lifetime. You love it, watch over it, care for it, and guard it jealously. One day, you will take my soul back to be wholly one with you again: do with it as you will.

Then Mary said: “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. Let it be done to me according to your word” (Luke 1:38; CPDV).

I want your will to be done, not mine (Luke 22:42; NLT).

    • Thank you so much, Bea. I know I owe you an email, but I am very slow and tired, so please forgive my delay. Today has been quite eventful, and I now know I cant stay here, as there is no space for me. This will mean being transferred to another home soon. I will be wherever God wants me to be. With much love from Ruth XXXXXXX
