Comes from you, Lord –
Loneliness
Is in your gift.
Absence, now,
Instead of presence:
You have set
My soul adrift.
Even silence
Comes from you –
No longer do I
Hear your voice.
Lord, you give,
And take away:
So I will bless each loss –
By choice.
