Even when I cannot love myself,
You love me still,
And even when I feel unwanted,
Lord, you love me still.
Even when my heart is empty,
Lord, you love me still,
And even when I cannot pray at all,
You love me still –
For nothing ever makes you cease to love me,
Lord, my God.
God’s love toward us is great, God’s faithfulness, eternal (Psalm 117:2; TIB).
