In your dear hand

The life of every living thing is in his hand, and the breath of every human being (Job 12:10; NLT).

In your dear hand,
O Living God –
My life is in your hand.

My mind, heart, soul;
My flesh and blood –
They’re all at your command.

If you are willing,
Yahweh God –
Please take this bitter cup away.

Yet may your will be done,
My God –
Your will be done today.

Father, if you are willing, please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine (Luke 22:42; NLT).
