Hello, readers. Many people say grace before meals, but surprisingly few seem to say it before drinking, taking pills, or having medical treatment. However, just as we can ask God to bless his gifts of food and water to our use, and ourselves to his service, we can also thank him for our treatments, ask him to bless them, and to help us as we accept all kinds of medical intervention. You might like to try this next time you are about to take your routine pills, have an injection, lie down in the dentist’s chair, or are about to have an anaesthetic. The possibilities for making contact with God, thanking him, and asking for his help at these times are endless!
