Lost

I think today’s little prayer speaks for itself…

Lost

My heart says of you, “Seek his face!” Your face, LORD, I will seek (Psalm 27:8; NIV).

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow is the road that leads to life, and only a few find it” (Matthew 7:13-14; NIV).

For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost  (Luke 19:10; NIV).

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6; NIV).

Father,
We are lost without you.

We long to see your face,
Yet, blinded by our sins
And misconceptions,
We wander
Far from your narrow road.

May your belovéd Son
Seek us out,
Guide our faltering steps,
And bring us, at last,
Into your eternal presence.

We ask this in his holy name,
Amen.
