He knows how weak we are; he remembers we are only dust. Our days on earth are like grass; like wildflowers, we bloom and die. The wind blows, and we are gone – as though we had never been here (Psalm 103:14-16; NLT).
There is no me,
There’s only you;
My body, dust;
Mind, mortal, too.
My heart will cease,
With nothing left
Except my soul,
Which is your breath.
Forever, we will
Reunite,
Then, one with you, Lord,
Day and night
I’ll share your kingdom
As you reign,
And worship
As you bear my pain.
He bears our sins, and is pained for us (Isaiah 53:4; BST).
