Jesus’ appearance was transformed so that his face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as light (Matthew 17:2; NLT).
Jesus, my Saviour,
In shimmering light,
Here, close beside me,
By day, and by night,
Help me to pray, Lord,
For neighbour and friend,
For stranger, and enemy,
Till my life’s end.
Help me to love
Even those who cause pain,
Ask you to pardon them
Time and again,
Plead for their healing,
Give thanks for them all,
And beg that each one
Will respond to your call.
To you who are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you (Luke 6:27-8; NLT).
