Humankind was created as God’s reflection: in the divine image God created them; female and male, God made them (Genesis 1:27; TIB).
We can’t see God as masculine,
With hints of femininity
Just grudgingly accepted.
We can’t see God as feminine –
All signs of masculinity
Resentfully rejected.
For God commingles, equally,
Both feminine and masculine,
So both should be respected.
Otherwise, at last, we’ll find,
Despite the ‘truths’ that we’ve enshrined,
God’s not what we expected!
For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, as I am fully known (1 Corinthians 13:12; CSB).
There is … one God and Creator of all, who is over all, who works through all and is within all (Ephesians 4:5-6; TIB).
