Waiting for God

Wait for God (Psalm 27:14; TIB).

When I cannot see your light,
I watch in darkness,
Far beyond all vision;
And, when I can’t pray to you,
I wait in silence,
Far beyond all words.

When I cannot hear your voice,
I sit in exile,
Far beyond all teaching;
And, when I can’t join your dance,
I rest in stillness,
Far beyond all joy.

When I cannot glimpse your face,
I live in longing,
Far beyond all worship;
And, when I can’t touch your robe,
I walk with courage,
Trusting in your love.

Jesus spoke to them at once. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Take courage. I am here!” (Matthew 14:27; NLT).

Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me (John 14:1; NLT).
