Please heal me

Send out your light and your truth; let them guide me. Let them lead me to your holy mountain, to the place where you live (Psalm 43:3; NLT).

Lord Jesus,
Send your holy truth
To heal my fragile mind,
Which weeps with fear.

Lord Jesus,
Send your faithful love
To heal my anguished heart,
Which aches with dread.

Lord Jesus,
Send your perfect peace
To heal my captive soul,
Which longs to flee.

Lord Jesus,
Send your sacred touch
To heal my damaged life:
Then I’ll be free.

If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed (John 8:36; NIV).

  • Dear praying Ruth
I am blessed and encouraged by your blogs and prayers for several years now and have prayed also for you as you journey through your own life.
Your prayer this morning ‘Heal me’ so relevant as my darling husband of 54 years, has suddenly been diagnosed with bowel cancer (hardly any signs or symptoms) and our future known only to God. My heart is quietly and silently
breaking but your prayers and honest personal faith is a strength and gift to me as from Our Lord Himself. Thank you and bless you.

    • ✝️ Oh, my dear Ruth, thank you so much for your letter today, and for all your kind words, prayers and support. I am immediately staring to pray for your husband, and for you, as you both face up to his illness and his treatment together. For some reason, I always find it much easier to pray for someone if I know their first name, though this is not essential. If you would like to tell me his name, that would be very helpful. I want to offer for us to be in touch privately, by email, so I can offer you ongoing support, but at the moment can’t think of how to get my email address to you without it going out to the whole world (which I wouldn’t have enough energy to cope with). Can you think of a way for us to do this, please? With much love, care and concern, from Ruth xxxx

    • Aha! I just kissed my beautiful icon of Christ as I prayed for you, and instantly this idea came to me. If you are on facebook, I can follow you, or you me, then we can direct message each other and I can send my email address privately to you. I am there every day as “Daily prayers for Christian living”, and also as an individual: “Ruth Kirk Isle of Man”. Do let me know if you want to be in touch, but have problems finding me on facebook. NO pressure, though – this is just to offer you the choice XXXXXX
