Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me (Psalm 23:4; NLT).
Take a breath now,
Deep and slow,
Then breathe it out.
Let troubles go
Just for a moment:
Rest in God,
And trust His presence,
Staff, and rod.
Take another,
Slow and deep,
Then breathe it out.
Now, take a leap
Of faith: thank God for
Everything,
And rest in Christ,
Our Shepherd-King.
Take a third,
The deepest yet,
Then breathe it out.
Though you’re beset
By pain: rest in
Their Holy Ghost,
And worship
With their heavenly host.
The heavenly host is bowing down [in worship] to You (Nehemiah 9:6; AMP).
