Facing fear

March on with courage, my soul! (Judges 5:21; NLT).

Jesus spoke to them at once. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Take courage. I am here!” (Matthew 14:27; NLT).

Yahweh,
I must face this fear:
I put my trust
In you.

Give me courage;
Strengthen me:
Stay close,
And help me through.

I’m yours, Lord,
And I’m clinging
To your much-loved,
Only Son,

So now I pray,
As he once did:
Lord God,
Your will be done.

Then Jesus left them a second time and prayed, “My Father! If this cup cannot be taken away unless I drink it, your will be done” (Matthew 26:42; NLT).
