Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires (James 1:20; NLT).

Dear friends,
Unless we acknowledge
And control
The stored-up anger
Hidden in our shadow self,
We unconsciously project it
On to others,
Making them the cause
Of all the fury and frustration
We can’t face
In ourselves.
Then, it’s just a short
But fatal step
To take revenge
On those we now see as our ‘enemies’ –
With hatred,
And with violence,
And with death.
