May I spend today with you?

Walk humbly with your God (Micah 6:8; CSB).

He is right beside me (Psalm 16:8; NLT).

You hold my right hand (Psalm 73:23; NLT).

Whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit (1 Corinthians 6:17; NIV).

****************************************

Lord Jesus,
May I spend today
With you?

Walking
Side by side,
Or hand in hand;

Sometimes talking,
Sometimes resting,
Often silent;

Sharing food, and drink,
And love
With all we hail –

For whilst
I’m one with you,
I will not fail.

  • I love this! He is with us always, with each and every one of us … we just need to recognise and accept it. One of my favourite bible quotes is, “For in him we live and move and have our being. As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.'” Acts 17:28 New International Version.

    • Thank you for your very cheering message! I love that passage too, but I’ve used it so often for the blog over the years that I’m trying not to use it too often at present! XXXX
