Teach me

Lord,

1. Teach me, when I’m foolish;
Forgive, when I’m unkind.

2. Save me, when in danger;
Soothe, when I’m maligned.

3. Brace me, when I’m tempted;
Console, when I’m afraid.

4. Warn me, when I’m angry;
Calm, when I’m betrayed.

5. Hold me, when I suffer;
Support, when I despair,

6. And guide my soul in death, Lord,
T0 meet you in the air.

      • Hi Ruth, thanks for your thoughts and prayers sister. Amongst my list of ailments is my persistently dodgy back, a reminder of years doing heavy manual work. It has eased a bit through the day, but will usually return in the morning. I just keep popping the muscle relaxants, painkillers and praying! In all these things Ruth, God is always Good!

      • Sending lots of sympathy re your back. Mine is very similar. I damaged it badly lifting a patient over 40 years ago, made it worse by fracturing a vertebra in a car crash last year, and have now got sciatica. Awaiting an MRI scan, which is a problem, as I’m severely claustrophobic. Hope you can sleep tonight, and that it will be a bit more comfortable tomorrow xxxx
